Connecting ‘empowering Adventures’ to kids, elderly, sick & deserving families.
Born in Northland. Built for New Zealand.
Our mission is simple: Free Adventures for Kids and Kiwis in Need.
Every week in Northland, more than a million dollars’ worth of tourism seats, beds, and experiences go unused. We’re unlocking that spare capacity to give families a chance to step away from life’s problems, have fun, and reset.
This idea began during Ruby’s cancer journey.
In the middle of hospitals, treatment, and stress, a simple break — just a few hours of adventure with our kids — gave us the space to breathe again. It didn’t fix everything, but it gave us strength.
We realised many families need that same moment of relief.
We are a zero-dollar charitable movement with no wages, no admin fees, and no overheads. Every donated seat goes directly to someone who needs it most.
By connecting our network of Top Operators with trusted Community Champions, we make sure each adventure reaches the right child, family, or elder at the right time.
Northland is our home and our starting point.
Together, we’re working to make Northland New Zealand’s Kindest Tourism Region — leading the way for our country to become the World’s Kindest Tourism Nation.
The Big Question:
Does Northland deserve to be called The Kindest Tourism Region in New Zealand?

CALLING COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS:
BECOME A AMBASSADOR
Do you support families going through tough times?
Do you work with parents, children, or elders affected by illness, grief, disability, or hardship?
If so, we invite your organisation to join us as a Community Champion.
Our model is simple:
Top Operators donate spare seats, beds, and experiences.
Community Champions connect us with the kids, families, and elders who need an uplifting adventure.
As a zero-dollar charitable movement, we rely on the insight and guidance of trusted partners — organisations like Hospice, KidsCan, RMHC, school wellbeing teams, youth services, marae leaders, and social support agencies — to ensure opportunities reach the right people, fairly and respectfully.
Your knowledge makes the difference between a “nice idea” and a truly life-changing moment for a family.
If you’re part of a school, charity, health provider, iwi organisation, hospice team, or social support service, we welcome you to join us.
Become a Community Champion and help us turn unused tourism experiences into unforgettable memories for those who need them most.
Help us connect Northland tourism operators with kids & families who need a moment to step away, have fun, and reset.
Foundations we Support:
Top Operators from across New Zealand:
“A simple way for tourism to give back.”
Our movement is powered by the generosity of Northland’s tourism industry — the people who donate spare seats, tables, and beds to give families a break from life’s pressures.
What’s moved us most is how quickly this idea has spread.
We now have more than 150 operators across New Zealand behind this movement — not just adventure and activity operators, but restaurants, cafés, accommodation providers, scenic tours, cruises, cultural attractions, and more.
This isn’t one sector.
It’s a whole industry standing together.
They all believe in something simple and real:
When you take someone out of the pressure zone — onto the water, into nature, or even just out for a meal — it gives them space to breathe.
You don’t have to sit them down and dissect their problems.
Give them an activity or an outing, and they naturally open up, reconnect, and reset.
That’s what our operators make possible every week.
With this industry-wide support behind us, we’re prepared to scale the movement region by region — starting here in Northland and building toward New Zealand’s Kindest Tourism Region, with the long-term vision of becoming the World’s Kindest Tourism Nation.
Step forward as an Adventure Hero — and help turn spare seats into uplifting, unforgettable adventures
Our Give-A-Wish Supporters Discount Card
Book Direct. Give Back More.
With the Give-A-Wish Supporters Card, every booking is made directly with the operator — not through overseas platforms that take 30% commission and upwards. Direct booking changes everything:
More savings for customers
Members get 10% back, because we’re not losing a huge cut to third-party platforms.
More revenue for operators
Another 10% goes straight back to the operator, instead of disappearing in commission fees.
More support for our Adventure Bank
A final 10% is donated to our Adventure Bank, helping us create more free adventures for families who need a break.
When people book direct, everyone benefits.
Customers save. Operators keep more. And together we fund more adventures for kids, families, and elders who could use a moment to step away, have fun, and reset.
Direct booking isn’t just better for business —
it helps us give back more to our community.
